THE WELLSPRING/WORLD VISION PARTNERSHIP

Donate To This Campaign

Wellspring for the World has been successfully funding water through World Vision for many years. From the inception of Wellspring, we needed a trusted partner who could deliver sustainable impact with the money we raised. After doing our homework, we chose World Vision and we’ve been changing lives together ever since.

So, how does Wellspring/World Vision partnership function? Simply put, Wellspring works tirelessly on the local level to build awareness and raise funds for water. Those resources are then sent to World Vision, who puts those resources to work on the ground.

All of Wellspring’s gifts are directed to World Vision’s Global Water Fund. As the name suggests, this fund helps to meet water, sanitation and hygiene needs across the entirety of World Vision’s water program.

Not only does it allow for critical flexibility in operations, it also multiplies the impact of a gift by 5X! Read more about this below.

Help bring the life-saving gift of clean water to the children and families who need it most.

The global water crisis is one of the biggest public health crises of our day. Every day, more than 1,000 children under 5 die from diseases caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and unsafe hygiene practices. The daily walk for water is robbing women and girls of their futures. And growing droughts around the world are leading to malnutrition and death.

1 of every 11 people on the planet have no access to clean water. That’s 703 million people who lack basic drinking water access, with 115 million people still using surface water as their source. The global water crisis also disproportionately impacts women and girls, who spend an estimated 200 million hours hauling water every day.

As a Christian, faith-based organization, World Vision is uniquely positioned to work with local religious leaders of all faiths as agents of change and advocates for the importance of clean water, improved sanitation, and healthy hygiene behaviors. In fact, 10,466 faith leaders participated in water, sanitation, and hygiene efforts in 2023.

World Vision is also the leading nongovernmental provider of clean water in the developing world. Every 10 seconds World Vision reaches one new person with clean water and hygiene education!

$1 becomes $5 in impact: World Vision is able to leverage $4 in funds from other sources for every $1 you give to the Global Water Fund. This means that every $1 investment will have an impact of $5. Our track record over five years shows that for every $1 in U.S. donor funds, we are able to add $1.50 in grants from governments and intergovernmental agencies, including UNICEF and USAID; about $1.50 from allocation of sponsorship funds; and about $1 from foundations and corporations, including our long-term partners the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and P&G.

With your help, World Vision plans to reach 30 million people with clean water between 2022-2030. . Thank you for prayerfully considering partnering with us in this life-saving work by making a gift to the Global Water Fund.
