Sarah's 60th Birthday

Donate To This Campaign

In lieu of birthday gifts, let’s make sure these young girls can experience life in all its fullness, for years to come.

Sarah Food in Zambia  Ford in Zambia

As a child my nickname was “Butterball,” I guess because I was born on Thanksgiving and as a fourth child, I never thought I would have enough to eat!!

Well, today at 60 years young, I have had plenty of turkey and pumpkin pie, however, that is not the case throughout the world.

Perhaps that is why I am passionate about the organization World Vision. We traveled to Zambia in 2019 with WV and it was life-changing for me.

People were struggling, malnutrition was very high, and life was difficult.
So when we were asked to help with a project in Kenya we did not
hesitate to say yes. World Vision is helping girls to safety, eliminating child marriage,
educating villages about the dangers of female genital mutilation, bringing
economic empowerment through knowledge, and most importantly, living
out God’s word.

Today we are helping to build a school and a boarding house (so the girls do not have to walk 4 - 6 miles a day one way and put themselves in danger.)

Steve and I have often said to one another, that everything we have is a gift from God and He has entrusted us to help children in need.

So please no gifts for me. Instead, consider making a donation to help these young girls.

Hopefully, we will get to travel to Kenya soon and see how our donations are changing lives.

See y’all on December 2nd with your dancing shoes and your good moves!!

-Sarah
