Help reduce violence & unsafe migration in Guatemala

World Vision is committed to protecting children from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and all forms of violence. Over the next five years, the Guatemala Child Protection Project aims to reduce the number of people who are victims of violence in target communities by 20 percent, and reduce the number of households in target communities that send their children to the United States via unsafe, undocumented routes by 20 percent.

This will be accomplished by:

• Empowering communities in Guatemala to create safe environments for children to live, learn, work and play
• Changing community norms and preceptions 
• Attending to children, adolesence, and families at highest risk of becoming victims or perpetrators of violence
• Responding to those recently affected by violence
