URGENT: HELP WORKING TO GIVE AND WORLD VISION
RESPOND TO THE HAITI EARTHQUAKE

A 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck southwestern Haiti on August 14th at 8:30am local time at a depth of around 10km. The epicenter was recorded around 12km northeast of Saint Louis-du-Sud, about 125km west of the capital Port-au-Prince.

  

·       2,189 people have died, and more than 12,000 are injured (as of August 19th) 

·       More than 52,000 homes are destroyed with 77,000+ homes damaged 

·       Rampant insecurity, destroyed roads, and COVID-19 challenge deployment of humanitarian aid

WORLD VISION'S RESPONSE IN HAITI 

World Vision has prepositioned aid to respond to a first wave of 6,000 people prioritizing the most vulnerable.  

After assessing the immediate needs, World Vision is targeting 240,000 vulnerable people with relief efforts, focused on the provision of:
