6/27/15 Dear Family and Friends, Thank you so much for your support and encouragement for Lilia & Megan and their recital. After many hours of practice and preparation, the girls had a wonderful experience putting on this concert. It's neat to see what young people can accomplish and how they can make the world a better place! You can see a video of the recital here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3k8i1AG5o3w Also, thanks to the incredible generosity of all of you, Lilia & Megan were able to raise more than $3500 for the Water Project. That's clean water for over 70 children for the rest of their lives! The girls were amazed and encouraged by all of you. We want to send out a special thank you to all of you anonymous donors, both on the website and at the concert, as we were not able to thank you personally. You have all helped to make a difference. Thank you again!

Hello Friends!
****UPDATE 6/11/15: Thanks to the amazing generosity of friends and family, we have reached our goal of $620 in only 4 days! So now, we have decided to aim higher and go for $6200! We know this is a very large amount, but now, with all of you, we could possibly help 10X the number of people. Thank you again for your WONDERFUL, AWESOME SUPPORT!****
We are Lilia and Megan, two girls who met 7 years ago when we were little kids (5 & 4 years old). We became good friends because we liked doing a lot of the same things: playing & laughing, ballet & gymnastics, singing, cooking & eating, dancing, Wii, reading, and playing piano. Even though we are only in middle school, we hope to make a difference in the world. We decided to practice hard and do a piano concert to fundraise for children and communities around the world who are in need of clean water.
Only $50 can provide someone with clean water for life.
Did you know that more than 1,600 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by unsafe water? That’s more than AIDS and malaria combined.
We decided to go through World Vision because it is one of the largest providers of water in the developing world, reaching a new person with clean water every 30 seconds.
With your help, we can provide clean water, basic sanitation, and hygiene education to prevent disease and death.
Will you join us in the #watereffect by giving a donation to help us reach our goal?
Our piano recital is on June 20, 2015, so we decided to raise $620 towards this project (get it?!). Of course, if we receive more donations, that would be great as all proceeds will go to the Water Project to help more people around the world!
Thank you for supporting our project!
Sincerely,
Lilia & Megan
